Greek Blue End Table DIY Project
This summer I painted the living room in mocha and beige tones, so I have been rearranging wall decor and making over different pieces to revamp the look of the room.
My latest project has been to makeover an end table that was my grandparent’s for many years. I remember them putting pictures of family under the glass and each time I went for a visit I would check which one was newly added.
Here is the before picture…
I have been wanting to try Annie Sloan Chalk Paint for awhile now and decided this was the project for it. I choose the Greek Blue color to compliment the blue in the rug I found at Target.
I first applied two coats of paint. When it was dry I stenciled the flowers on the top using the wall colors and accented the grooves of design around the edges with the mocha paint to make them stand out more.
A day later I applied one coat of Annie Sloan Clear Wax, let set for 24 hours and buffed.
And tada, here is the finished piece…
It definitely makes a bold statement, but it will fit in quite nicely after the rest of the room is fully finished.
