In June of 2010 I made a decision to get back in shape and lose weight. I had finally decided that I was tired of where I was at and where I was headed, and I became determined to make LONG TERM changes. I realized that until I chose to make these long term changes and take better care of myself I would continue on the path I had been on for years.
Through exercise, healthy changes, and a 24 Day Challenge I started to lose weight and tone up.
In early October I had a health issue remind me that it was still there and changing (& not for the better). At that point I decided to start working with a nutrition coach in lieu of the surgery that was being highly pushed in my direction.
My nutrition coach helped me see that certain foods and supplements I was taking were compounding my issues. She helped me (& continues to) make better changes and I haven’t felt this good in years. I am currently down a total of 40#.
I like to try new recipes, revise old ones or invent new ones and I actually like to work out now, too.
I continue to work on healthy living habits and am enjoying the journey.
